Beloved British fashion accessories brand Anya Hindmarch invited FormRoom to design, produce and install a series of permanent sites and pop ups across London.
The design drew on Hindmarch’s obsession with the simple style she saw in an Italian haberdashery while designing her first London store in 1993.
We combined an amalgamation of Georgian cabinetry to reinforce her love for applying a modern twist to traditional techniques and objects. The wooden drawers, vitrine and intricate detailing throughout the shop-fits are clear depictions all this style.
“We’ve worked with some of the world’s best designers to make sure each store blends craftsmanship and humour in the same way as the collections.”Anya Hindmarch Founder and Chief Creative Officer
The unit combined plain wood panelling with framed moulding hooked over top.
Wood veneer panelling, brass cup handles and detailing were applied to bring the ‘antique’ brief to the forefront. This was accompanied by bespoke artwork vinyl mounted onto panels and featured drawers.
